Marianne began her career in public accounting with Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf in December 1977. After performing audits for three years including audit supervisions in the construction, health, and manufacturing industries, she migrated to the tax staff and served there for seven years including three as tax manager.
She opened her own accounting practice in July 1987 specializing in individual and business taxation and merged her practice with Nasif, Hicks & Co. in November of 1989. Her practice has a special emphasis in the real estate, investment, and agricultural areas. Special projects have included assistance with valuations in divorce proceedings, acquisitions and dispositions of business interests, and estate and gift tax planning.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, with distinction, from San Diego State University in 1976. She is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She is a past officer and sponsor of the local chapter of the United States Pony Club, officer and member of the Board of Trustees at Crane School, Canalino School and Main School and the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
