Andy Simonsen serves a variety of audit and tax clients including corporations, partnerships, individuals, and non-profit organizations. Andy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Andy started his career as an accountant and assistant project manager for a small local residential developer located in Santa Maria. There he learned hands-on accounting and general ledger skills, as well as budgeting, analytical, and cash flow preparation skills.

Andy returned to school in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with an Emphasis in Accounting from UCSB in 2000. He began his public accounting career at Arthur Andersen in the Woodland Hills audit division. His public accounting audit experience ranges from small privately held companies to large multinational public companies, including internal control testing requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Andy joined Nasif, Hicks, Harris and Co. in May of 2002. In addition to ongoing client services he serves as an instructor for continuing audit staff training programs.
